Chris began his legal profession as a prosecutor in the Duval County State Attorney’s Office fighting for victims’ rights and justice. From 1992 to 1996, Chris prosecuted individuals accused of crimes ranging from DUI’s and misdemeanors, to domestic violence, battery and felonies. After witnessing the harm inflicted on many individuals and their families, Chris made a conscious decision to spending the remainder of his legal career helping innocent victims receive fair and just compensation for injuries sustained at the hands of others. For over 28 years, he has dedicated his life to that cause, representing thousands of clients injured in a multitude of accidents and has recovered over $50,000,000 dollars in compensation.

As an active partner at Terrell • Hogan, Chris advocates for those injured, permanently maimed or killed by medical malpractice mistakes– including women injured in many types of cosmetic surgeries and alleged breast implant warranty schemes – defective drugs, defective medical devices, pharmacy negligence and consumer products. He is driven to stop companies and medical practitioners from putting profits over people, especially when they knowingly provide a product or service that harms consumers or falls below industry standards. He also represents victims of defective consumer products, commercial truck accidents and motor vehicle crashes.

Chris is married to Jaime Lee Shakib and is the proud father of three children: Ashley, Evan, and Stella-Jaymes. An avid surfer, runner, and amateur boxer, though he considers Florida his primary home, he loves the mountains of Western North Carolina.
